As we start to get to know each other before we delve into the heavy duty discussions, let's share a bit about ourselves.
Where are you located?
What drew you to Mathilde?
What is important to you?
What are you looking for in an online space such as this?
I'm Katrina Robinson, based in Oxford in the UK.
Of course the stunning aesthetics of the magazine caught my eye on Instagram, but digging a little deeper, I was drawn by what I was reading.
'What is reclaimed, not radical, feminism?' I wondered. So I read the interview with the magazine's editor, and a lot resonated with me. Especially as, today, there is debate about what being a woman even means. I'd like to be part of a group of consciously thoughtful women who address this and 'sit with a difficult topic.'
Faith, feminism, femininity, and fairness are all important to me.
I hope we can share ideas, keep open minds, and not be bullied.
Thank you for having me and putting together this beautiful forum where we can share ideas! I'm Zachary, located in Melbourne but originally from beautiful Brisbane. I was drawn to Mathilde by the sheer beauty of the publication, as well as the rigour and honest exploration behind every article published.
What's most important to me? The wonderful people in my life, music, and the wisdom found in countless traditions.
What am I looking for here? Like-spirited individuals who want to share with and learn from each other. I think there is a real opportunity (in the spirit of a print-only publication) to convert online interactions into real-world interactions too.
